NEW

Purchased a new camera...finally....and I'm so happy with it...

Something like that inspires me to go out and just do the things I dream of...snapping piccies all the way..

A good night with the girls, and amazing lighting, always seems to have that effect as well...

Wild Thing

'Where The Wild Things Are', a world-famous children's book, and now an amazing, indie movie...

Although the film had virtually no plotline, the themes behind it all continued to inspire...the thoughts of loneliness and trying to find happiness in the world for all, and while these ideas may seem depressing, it's still inspiring in that we can hope for something more in this world, and aim to make it a better place...

The soundtrack was fantastic, written by Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs fame...and never failed to enhance the film....that's another album to add to my long list of wants...

The lighting was so natural and uplifting, reminding me of old polaroid shots that have that instant charm to them...

And the costuming was amazing...I would love to make something so extravagant, creative and fun...The combinations of feathers, fur and horns, creates these amazing and intriguing characters...

Definitely one of my favourite films ever...

Live Life

It's just one of those days where I can't be bothered to do much, focussing on my own self-pity...generally not very inspired...

But I received a book for my birthday, 'Now Is The Time...170 Ways To Seize The Moment', by Patrick Lindsay...I thought today might be the perfect day to have aother flick through...

I came to one page and found the quote...
Immediately I was inspired... living every moment to the full, and grasping everything...not letting any opportunity pass, and not being consumed by our own disappointment or guilt...

This one should be plastered onto my wall for rememberance everday...

Snowflakes.....x 100?

Christmas is coming on....the tree was only just put up, and the smell of pine needles hasn't quite immersed the house, making this Christmas still seem far away...

But then we ambitiously began making these tags for all the pressies....
The final product is satisfying, but considering the work we put into them, you'd hope so....
Each tag has 4 snowflake layers - each hand-cut - of different designed papers, with 1 of the layers being a block colour in order to write a short message...

I love the brown paper and straw-like ribbon as well...the whole look seems almost Frankie-esque...

Bring on the celebrations...
